Mobility handicap

We would like to point out that the panorama does not have a wheelchair lift due to the protection of historical monuments.

The Thun Panorama has a toilet for people with limited mobility. Due to the protection of monuments, the rotunda with the round picture is unfortunately not fully accessible by wheelchair.

Since 2015, the Thun Panorama can be viewed in a high-resolution 360° view on the website. This means that the Thun city view is also accessible to people with mobility impairments, at least virtually.

Based on an inspection in 2019 with representatives of the specialist office for barrier-free construction at both locations, the results on structural access were evaluated, measures planned and their implementation budgeted.

Hearing Handicap

In cooperation with the Interessengemeinschaft Gehörlose und Hörbehinderte IGGH, we offer free public guided tours of the Thun Panorama with translation into sign language. At the same time, an induction loop is available for the audio guides.
